SprayCool promotes company president Jeff Severs as CEO

Liberty Lake, Wash. – July 18, 2005 – SprayCool, the maker of SprayCool™ technology and products, today announced that company president Jeff Severs has been promoted to chief executive officer.  

As president and chief executive officer, Severs will oversee the entire 238-person company, which is headquartered in Liberty Lake and has satellite offices in Seattle, Pullman, Wash., Wichita, Kan. and Washington, D.C.

 “Jeff is the right leader at the right time to guide our company to our aggressive growth targets,” said Don Tilton, SprayCool’s founder and vice chairman. “He has helped the company achieve a 500 percent growth in revenues and has put an outstanding team in place to ensure our continued success.”

By positioning Severs as president and CEO, the company has taken another step toward launching a separate commercial division for its thermal cooling products, Tilton said. It enables the company to hire strong general managers for both the commercial and government business units, he said.

“At SprayCool, we define our success through our customers,” Severs said. “This is an exciting time for our company as we expand into commercial markets with unique product offerings that will enable our customers to achieve some remarkable performance benchmarks with their technologies.”

Severs joined the company in 2001 as director of government systems. He was promoted to vice president and then named company president in July 2002. He was appointed to the company’s board of directors in January.

Severs joined SprayCool after a distinguished career with the United States Air Force, leading development and production readiness activities. In the Air Force, Severs successfully led a wide-range of operations, culminating with his leadership of a $1 billion effort to develop and manufacture precision weapon systems.

Severs also served as a staffer in the U.S. Senate and was on the direct staff of the Secretary of the Air Force as a congressional liaison.
